Neo Orthodox Crucifix

Design Language

The vertical bar uses a DNA double-helix pattern - an open lattice in gold that replaces the solid beam of traditional crucifixes. This is structural, not ornamental: it lightens the piece visually while maintaining rigidity. The horizontal arms terminate in platinum wings sculpted as feathered forms - referencing seraphim iconography from Eastern Orthodox tradition.

The Christ figure is hand-sculpted in platinum against the gold lattice. The contrast between metals - warm gold structure, cool platinum figure - creates a visual separation that gives the sculpture depth without relying on scale.
