What D Flawless means in a round brilliant

D is the top of the GIA color scale: no detectable color. Flawless (FL) is the top of the clarity scale: no inclusions and no blemishes visible to a skilled grader under 10× magnification. An Internally Flawless (IF) diamond may still carry minor surface blemishes; a Flawless diamond shows neither.

The round brilliant is also the one shape that receives an overall cut grade from GIA. Triple Excellent (3EX) means cut, polish and symmetry are all graded Excellent, so the proportions return light the way the shape was designed to. With no fluorescence, the stone reads the same in daylight and under UV-rich light.

From stone to ring

Choose the alloy for the mounting: platinum, 18k palladium white gold, 18k yellow gold or 18k rose gold. The price of each diamond is the same in every alloy. The mounting is made to order for the selected stone, so the proportions of the ring follow the diamond rather than a stock setting.
